Mrs. Athanasoula Lambropoulou-Syropoulou was re-elected to the FIG Council.

Greek gymnastics will be able to be represented in the institutions of FIG (International Gymnastics Federation)  and in the new Olympic cycle, after the re-election of Athanasoula Lambropoulou-Syropoulou in the 21-member Council of the International Gymnastics Federation.
In the nominations held at the 83rd FIG Congress in Antalya, Ms. Lambropoulou-Syropoulou collected 32 votes and emerged 2nd in a series of elections, among 15 candidates from the European zone.
The FIG Council meets annually, every May, being the body called to validate important decisions, such as changes in the Olympic qualification system, amendments to the Disciplinary Code, accession of new member countries to the International Gymnastics Federation, etc .
