Depending on the nationality and the country of origin, the formalities to be completed will be different.

Since many messages from our compatriots concern questions about residence and work in the Principality, we decided to put the basic requirements for entry and residence in Monaco in two lines. Each of the following requirements has its own specificities and it would be a good idea to request additional information and clarifications.

Greeks who wish to visit the Principality must, if requested, present their passport or police ID card. The same documents required upon entry into France.
Greeks who wish to settle in Monaco for more than 3 months are not required to obtain a VISA. Therefore, in order to obtain a residence permit (“carte de sejour”), they can submit the necessary supporting documents (Directorate of Public Security – 4, rue Louis Notari) as follows:

1) Copy of criminal record 2) Work Permit/Contract or Application for the establishment of a company in the Principality or Proof of bank account 3) A recent photograph 4) Health certificate 5) Rental or ownership contract for a residence in the Principality 6) Valid passport.

A residence permit is necessary in any case .
