Screening of the documentary “Ettore Spalletti.”
Friday, May 17, 8 p.m.
Beaulieu Cinema

This film – produced on the occasion of the exhibition and with the contribution of the NMNM – allows us to discover the daily reality of the artist – methodical and contemplative – in his favorite places – Pescara, his house in Spoltore, his studio in Cappelle sul Tavo, the abbeys, the mountains, the sea and the sky of Abruzzo – and his public image through numerous solo exhibitions in the most important international galleries and museums.

A long and detailed interview, collected between 2016 and 2019, punctuates the narration with various images and words that enrich this portrait on a human and artistic level, including the art historian Germano Celant, the Jesuit father Andrea Dall’Asta, the director of the Marian Goodman Gallery, Andrew Leslie Heyward, the gallery owners Lia Rumma and Benedetta Spalletti, his niece, as well as Patrizia Leonelli, his wife and Azzurra Ricci, his assistant.

This documentary is also presented in the Villa Paloma video room for the duration of the exhibition and is notably part of the official selection of films in competition for the 2019 edition of FILAF in Perpignan.
