The New National Museum presents the MASC (Museum Art Summer Club), three weeks of daily or weekly workshops for children aged 7 to 12, from July 8 to 26.

Masc 01

Colorful Experiments! NMNM – Villa Paloma July 8-12, 2-5 pm – Ages 7-12 In conjunction with Ettore Spalletti’s exhibition, “Azure Shadow, Transparency,” this workshop offers an introduction to the artist’s work and universe. Every day of the week, children will experiment with a different technique, alone or in groups: painting on wood, gold leaf, volume, and color. Image: Exhibition view of Ettore Spalletti. PORTRAIT by line! NMNM – Villa Sauber Monday, July 15, Tuesday, July 16, or Wednesday, July 17, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (ages 7-9) Thursday, July 18 or Friday, July 19, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (ages 10-12) The Step by Step exhibition presents numerous portraits dating from the Renaissance to the present day. An opportunity to revisit this technique, its history, and its many forms, from blindfolded portraits to photographic portraits. Plant Footprints NMNM – Villa Paloma Tuesday, July 23rd and Wednesday, July 24th or Thursday, July 25th and Friday, July 26th From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (ages 10-12) Workshops led by Camille Barlerin, editorial graphic designer Children create a small book based on their drawings of the plants that make up Michel Blazy’s shoe collection. A research project involving images and information related to nature, and more specifically botany.
