Following our scholarship announcement during the Award ceremony of Mary Katrantzou, we inform our members that the International University of Monaco proposed Mr. Matthaios Ampazis, as the most qualified Greek student, who will receive the amount of 5.000€.

Mr. Matthaios Ampazis was born in Chios and has enrolled in the university’s MBA program. Details will follow in our next newsletter.

ΑMPAZIS MATTHAIOS, the captain who was a candidate for our MBA, has confirmed his registration in the MBA of UM in executive part time format (so, over 2 years while continuing working). He is a Greek citizen, born in Chios in 1976.

Since obtaining his baccalaureat in 1994 and until today, he has held several managerial positions on cruise ships and tankers.

In parallel, he devoted himself to studies in the field of the marine. After having obtained several certificates in various fields all relating to the marine (environmental impact of a ship, management of the incidents at sea etc …), he passed his diploma of CAPTAIN CLASS A SHIP CHIEF OFFICER between 2013 and 2018. This diploma corresponds to a Bachelor degree.

He speaks English and French, in addition to Greek, his native language. He is also passionate about Greek and English literature.

Matthaios now wants to start an MBA to further strengthen its managerial skills. He seems to be a good candidate to receive the scholarship of the Hellenic Committee.
