Marta Grigorieva is a Russian-born, Monaco-based figurative painter whose paintings are in private collections in Great Britain, America, and Europe. Marta’s work has been exhibited in New York, London, Turin, Milan, Moscow, Sochi Art Museum and Musee Naval de Monaco.
Marta Grigorieva is a member of International Federation of Artists and Moscow Union of Artists and member of the Monegasque National Committee of the International Association of Plastic Arts at UNESCO.
Marta attended Harvard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, reading fine arts, art history. In New York, after working at Sotheby’s, she studied portrait and figure painting with the leading American portraitist Nelson Shanks at the Art Student League.
Beginning work on the portrait, Marta always listens to the customer’s opinion, for example, some of her paintings are made in an impressionistic style, others resemble modern colorful pop art objects. Artist’s recognizable style is characterized by confident lines, saturation of color, bright colors, and play of light.
The artist’s passion for her work, her inspiration and talent are transferred to her models, who after finishing the work on the portrait themselves interested to learn to paint.
Marta Grigorieva is pleased to give private lessons, with great joy and generosity she shares her skills and supervises the progress of her students.
