For the Elafonisos Eco Week

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was the guest of honor during the inaugural day of the Elafonisos Eco Week that started with the First Summit of Sustainable Development (SOSD1), organized by Elafonisos Eco, a vibrant association advancing the causes of ecology and sustainable development for the island of Elafonisos and beyond.
HSH delivered the keynote speech of the Conference, adding a crucial international dimension and visibility to the efforts of Elafonisos Eco and of seven Greek Mayors who are making efforts to advance the causes and the vision of sustainability. To that end, He was present for the signing ceremony of the SOSD1 Agreement, and accepted to be an Honorable Member of the Elafonisos Eco Association.

• The Honorary Consul of Monaco to the Hellenic Republic Dr. Vassili G. Apostolopoulos spearheaded the team of the Consulate that arrived to Elafonisos to facilitate the visit of His Serene Highness. The Consulate, actively embraces such efforts that are important for Greece, the Mediterranean and our shared planet.
• The Hellenic Community of Monaco, represented by President Sophia Vaharis Tsouvelekakis, attended the conference.
• Congratulations to our member, Mr. Athanasios Kourniotis, CEO & Founder of Innovation Quorum (IQ) Ltd., who delivered a speech on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities. He also participated in the Mayors Eco-Summit.
• Mr. Enrico Toja, the visioner of the Elafonisos Eco will be officially awarded by the Hellenic Community of Monaco this coming September, at the charity event which is organized in cooperation with Italian Community of Monaco to support the Gala dinner on September 20th, 2023, at the Yacht Club of Monaco.
