CHARITY CONCERT IN SUPPORT OF UKRAINIAN CHILDREN

A moving concert with Elena Kuzheleva, soprano, and the MONTE-CARLO PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA QUARTET: Diana Mykhalevych, violin, Mitch Huang, violin, Ruggero Mastrolorenzi, viola, Alexandre Fougeroux, cello.

GARDEN OF DIVINE SONGS

This charity concert for the benefit of Ukrainian children is organized by the HÉRITAGE Classical Music Association. The funds raised will be sent to the Lviv Children’s Hospital in Ukraine.

In February 2023, our association organized a concert in support of this hospital, which raised €3,500. This donation was used to order 10 inverters for the hospital, which ensure the power supply of life-saving equipment even when the country’s electrical system is under bombardment.

During the concert, you will discover with us the most beautiful airs and romances of flowers and love celebrating summer: at the solstice, the days are long and the nights are short, the imagination runs wild. You might even surprise a druidic ritual in a grove (V. Bellini “Casta Diva”).
From the roses of Charles Gounod’s “Juliette’s Waltz” to the “Chrysanthemums” of Giacomo Puccini’s eponymous quartet, from the jasmine in Léo Delibe’s “Flower Duet” to the daisies in “Open Your Heart” from Georges Bizet’s Boléro, and the marigolds in the Ukrainian song “Chornobryvtsi,” the palette is wide and intoxicating.
Flowers, like music, are a source of pure energy and harmony. And who says harmony, of course, says Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose “A Little Night Music” you can hear.
We draw this harmony from the constancy of classical music, just as it unfolds in the heart of the “Garden of Divine Songs,” this beautiful garden of joy and sorrow with lush trees. It is there that we can always hide and seek comfort.
